This year we are online (thanks COVID-19), with many of the world’s elite scientists presenting their work. We are writing to invite you to attend the DrosAfrica Online Workshop 2020. DrosAfrica is a community of scientists with an interest in learning how Drosophila is used to solve fundamental problems in biology and disease.
DrosAfrica has trained over 100 people from 9 institutions in 8 different African countries. Over the past many years, we have been teaching and working together through workshops across the African continent. These individuals constitute an important part of the future of research in Africa. We strongly encourage members of African institutions, especially women, to apply.
Deadline for receiving applications was October 6th 2020. If you have missed the deadline, do not despair, there will be more wokrshops in the near future. For more information please check DrosAfrica website.
The workshop will run for 3 days, from 1PM to 5PM (London Time, UTC+1).
Come join us: this will be an amazing opportunity to be on the cutting edge of science, as viewed through the eyes of the mighty fruit fly.
